🌲πŸ”₯ P2 Forest Learning with NIFSA πŸ”₯🌲

22nd Apr 2026
Today it was P2’s turn to head out to the forest for another fantastic outdoor learning session with Northern Ireland Forest School Association 🌳
We began the day by making our very own bubble wands. The children had hands-on experience using tools, cutting sticks, whittling them and carefully hollowing them out to create their wands. So much concentration and perseverance on show! 🫧πŸͺΎ

Next, it was time for an exciting new challenge — fire making! πŸ”₯ The children learned all about what a fire needs to work, gathered sticks, and worked together to create a fire safely. To top it all off, we enjoyed a lovely treat of s’mores πŸ˜‹.
Safety was a key focus throughout the session, and the P2 class were absolutely excellent, showing responsible behaviours, teamwork and great listening skills. We are incredibly proud of them πŸ’š

A huge thank you to Dan from NIFSA for facilitating such engaging sessions and for sharing some fantastic outdoor learning ideas with our teachers, Miss Crampsie and Miss Moore and our assistants, Naomi, Hannah and Chloe 🌟

We can’t wait to continue our outdoor learning adventures! 🌳✨
