We had a wonderful celebration on Wednesday as we recognised our Accelerated Reading superstars 🌟📚
All of our children have been working incredibly hard, and we were delighted to celebrate those who have reached or soared above their AR targets. Their commitment to reading, determination, and positive attitude truly shone through. It was especially lovely to see a mix of new and familiar faces up being celebrated—proof that hard work really does pay off.
We were also extremely proud to introduce two new AR Word Millionaires 🤩📖 —meaning they have read over 1,000,000 words during their time at Cumber Claudy… and they are only P5 and P6 — WOW! What an outstanding achievement and a true testament to their love of reading and perseverance.
Today’s photo includes the quote “Today a reader, tomorrow a leader”, and it couldn’t be more fitting. Through reading, our pupils are building confidence, imagination, and leadership skills that will support them far beyond the classroom.
We can’t wait to celebrate even more success as we continue recognising achievements throughout Term 2, and especially during our big celebration assembly before Easter. Keep up the fantastic work, everyone—we are so proud of you! 👏📘
