We’ve been learning how to add three single-digit numbers and had lots of fun exploring different strategies. We tried out multi-link, number lines and Numicon and Numicon quickly became our favourite!🤩
Miss Crampsie gave us sums on the board and we built them with Numicon to help us see the answer. We drew a base on the tables with boxes and signs to set out our sums clearly and work them through step by step. 🔢🧱🧮
Along the way we spotted doubles and number bonds, which helped us work things out more quickly. The children loved the hands-on challenge, with so many asking, “Please can we do more?” 💡👏
What a busy, exciting day of learning and we can’t wait to keep exploring addition in such a fun and practical way!
